myphantompath technology stems from a request made to one of our founders by a US government agency to help secure their most sensitive communications.

Chief among the requirements:

  • The technology solution must be lightweight and software-based, so it can be downloaded to any device anywhere in the world.

  • It must be transparent to end users, so they don’t need training for use or operation.

  • It must be able to operate over any network of opportunity that supports Internet Protocol (IP) traffic, so end users can communicate securely everywhere.

  • It must operate at a lower level of the OSI model than the Application layer (layer 7), so it’s harder to manipulate or otherwise hack.

  • It must prevent third parties from inserting themselves into the middle of the communication, so it remains secure.

  • It must stick to standards, including crypto standards, so it doesn’t become a target to adversaries.

Thanks to a tech transfer agreement, our founders were able to take this government-grade technology and begin the transformation for use by the public, through our partners.
